Membership of Claywirks is limited by the space, but if we don’t currently have room for you we can add you to the waiting list.
You don’t need to be an advanced potter to join Claywirks, members have varied levels of knowledge and skill. However, you do need to have some prior experience, either throwing or hand building. For example, you might have been on an evening or day pottery course or have practised pottery during an art foundation course or degree. Although members do offer each other help, advice, guidance and support, they are not there to teach, and so having some knowledge of handling and working with clay is essential.
If you are interested in finding out more then please contact our membership secretary, Pauline Wright via the contact page or send an email to email@example.com with your contact details. Pauline will be able to answer your questions and arrange for you to look round the studio and its shared equipment and meet current members of the group.
For people thinking of joining we offer a one-month trial membership so that you can see if this is the right thing for you.
